"Material Metamorphosis: Innovations in Advanced Architectural Materials" is an intensive course that delves into the cutting-edge realm of architectural materials. Spanning three levels, this course offers a comprehensive exploration of the transformative landscape of construction materials. Each 20-minute lecture is designed to present a dynamic range of topics, including the introduction to advanced materials, sustainable architectural solutions, properties and characteristics of innovative materials, and their applications in areas such as insulation, energy efficiency, transparency, and construction techniques. As the course progresses, it navigates into more advanced territories, encompassing themes such as nanotechnology, biomimicry, smart and responsive materials, 3D printing, acoustics, disaster-proof materials, and aesthetics in architectural design. Moreover, it ventures into futuristic concepts like self-healing materials, transparent solar panels, flexible designs, bio-engineered materials, and data-driven architectures. Emphasizing ethical and sustainability challenges, the course aims to stimulate critical thinking and creativity, ultimately culminating in discussions on cultural, regional applications, interactive architectural materials, and final project presentations, encapsulating the innovative potential of these materials within the realm of architecture.

At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.

  • For over 20 years he has been carrying out his professional activity, independently and/or in partnership, in the design and management of the transformation processes of physical space, at the different scales of architecture (interior - building - landscape), urban design, reuse and reconversion of existing spaces and buildings, the feasibility assessment of urban transformation interventions and real estate development, for both private and public clients. In particular, it develops a specific managerial attitude in the management of complex decision-making processes in which different private and collective interests, regulatory and procedural complexities, specialized technical skills, appropriate technologies, management and control of costs and quality coexist and must be governed.
