Welcome to Forethought India One-on-One Courses. Our program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen profession. Our instructor for this course is Prof. Nicolas Turchi at Manchester School of Architecture


"Harmony in Habitat: Designing Sustainable Housing and Communities" is an extensive course that delves into the multifaceted world of sustainable living environments. This program offers a comprehensive exploration of principles, strategies, and innovations essential in crafting housing and communities that prioritize ecological balance, energy efficiency, and societal well-being. Through a series of meticulously designed lectures, participants will gain insights into fundamental concepts such as sustainable design principles, energy-efficient architectural elements, and the use of eco-friendly materials. Additionally, the course delves into more intricate topics, including urban planning, waste management, community engagement, and the integration of advanced technologies in constructing resilient, future-ready cities. With a focus on holistic approaches, participants will also explore social equity, health considerations, and policy frameworks that promote sustainable development. Each 20-minute lecture is tailored to provide a compact yet comprehensive understanding of the interconnected facets necessary for creating harmonious and sustainable habitats for the future. Ultimately, this course aims to equip learners with the knowledge and tools necessary to design and build housing and communities that are not only environmentally friendly but also foster a high quality of life for their inhabitants.


At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.

  • Nicolas Turchi is a Designer, a Lecture in Advanced Digital Design at Manchester School of Architecture, an Adjunct Professor in Computational and Parametric Design at the University of Bologna and the Polytechnic of Milan, an associate at DesignMorphine and the founder of NT[A]R. Nicolas holds a Master in Architecture II from the Harvard Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture I from the University of Bologna. He worked in several international practices including Zaha Hadid Architects, Peter Eisenman Architects, MCA Mario Cucinella Architects and Hernan Diaz Alonso Architects. Nicolas is particularly interested in emergent technologies and how they affect the theoretical aspect of the discipline, with a focus on the injection of the 4th dimension into the architectural discourse.
