  • Andreas Kaplan is a widely published higher education professional and pragmatic, resting on fifteen years of management and leadership experience in academia. Currently the President of Kühne Logistics University, Professor Kaplan previously held the positions of Rector and Provost at ESCP Business School, Sorbonne Alliance.

    During his career, Kaplan achieved strong insights into various education systems across Europe, such as France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the UK. In addition, he was able to gain experience in advisory boards and committees of various universities and edtech startups and regularly acts as a consultant, sparring partner and keynote speaker.

    Professor Kaplan’s overall research addresses society’s digital transformation. With several seminal articles and 44k+ citations on Google Scholar, Prof. Kaplan has been recognized among the worldwide top 50 business and management authors, according to John Wiley & Sons. A high-profile PLOS study counts Kaplan within the group of most cited and impactful scientists globally.

    Kaplan did his Habilitation at the Sorbonne and his PhD at the University of Cologne and HEC Paris. Holder of an MPA from the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA), an MBA from ThePower Business School, an MSc from ESCP, and a BSc from the University of Munich, Kaplan additionally did part of his doctoral studies at INSEAD and graduated from the ITP at the Kellogg School of Management.
