Welcome to Forethought India One-on-One Courses. Our program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen profession. Our instructor for this course is Prof. Paolo Debiaggi at Politecnico Di Milano
The "Highways of Tomorrow: Geometric Design Mastery" course offers a comprehensive exploration of the intricate elements and principles that shape the roadways of the future. Spanning across three levels, this course delves into the fundamental and advanced aspects of geometric design in highways. Through a series of lectures, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of roadway cross-section elements, alignment principles, curve design (both horizontal and vertical), as well as considerations for safety, sustainability, and human factors. The curriculum extends to cover complex topics such as interchange and intersection design, green highway initiatives, advanced geometric considerations, and the integration of future technologies. Students will also explore the economic and environmental aspects, including the impact on stakeholders and the community. With a focus on innovation and emerging trends, this course equips learners with the expertise needed to design highways that are safe, efficient, and adaptive to the evolving needs of transportation systems.
At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.
Highways of Tomorrow: Geometric Design Mastery, by Paolo Debiaggi
For over 20 years he has been carrying out his professional activity, independently and/or in partnership, in the design and management of the transformation processes of physical space, at the different scales of architecture (interior - building - landscape), urban design, reuse and reconversion of existing spaces and buildings, the feasibility assessment of urban transformation interventions and real estate development, for both private and public clients. In particular, it develops a specific managerial attitude in the management of complex decision-making processes in which different private and collective interests, regulatory and procedural complexities, specialized technical skills, appropriate technologies, management and control of costs and quality coexist and must be governed.
