Welcome to Forethought India One-on-One Courses. Our program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen profession. Our instructor for this course is Prof. Paolo Debiaggi at Politecnico Di Milano

The "Transportation Engineering Fundamentals" course provides a comprehensive exploration of the principles, systems, and challenges within the field of transportation engineering. Throughout this course, students delve into a wide array of topics essential to understanding the intricate network of transportation systems. Beginning with an introduction to the historical evolution and modern-day concepts, the course covers various modes of transportation, including roadways, railways, waterways, air, and space travel. It further extends to encompass traffic engineering principles, traffic flow theories, and the design and implementation of traffic control devices and intersection analyses. Moreover, the course encompasses discussions on the fundamental principles of highway design, public transportation systems, environmental considerations, planning strategies, and policy development in the context of transportation. As the course progresses, it delves into more advanced topics such as intelligent transportation systems, sustainable practices, high-speed rail systems, airport design, maritime infrastructure, urban transportation challenges, economic aspects, emerging technologies, safety measures, and global perspectives. Emphasizing a multidisciplinary approach, the course encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and project-based learning, offering a well-rounded understanding of transportation engineering at different levels of complexity.

At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.

Transportation Engineering Fundamentals, by Paolo Debiaggi

  • For over 20 years he has been carrying out his professional activity, independently and/or in partnership, in the design and management of the transformation processes of physical space, at the different scales of architecture (interior - building - landscape), urban design, reuse and reconversion of existing spaces and buildings, the feasibility assessment of urban transformation interventions and real estate development, for both private and public clients. In particular, it develops a specific managerial attitude in the management of complex decision-making processes in which different private and collective interests, regulatory and procedural complexities, specialized technical skills, appropriate technologies, management and control of costs and quality coexist and must be governed.
