Welcome to the comprehensive course on "Time Value of Money: Make Your Money Work for You." Students will embark on a journey from foundational concepts such as Future Value and Present Value to advanced topics including compound interest, annuities, and perpetuities. Throughout the course, participants will develop mathematical competence in using TVM formulas for calculations, explore the applications of TVM in investment and business decisions, and gain insights into risk management strategies associated with financial choices. The course goes beyond theoretical knowledge, offering practical applications through case studies and real-life examples, allowing students to apply TVM principles to personal finance, retirement planning, and financial modeling. Ethical considerations in financial decision-making and a global perspective on TVM further enrich the learning experience. The capstone project integrates all learned concepts, providing students with a holistic understanding of how to effectively leverage the Time Value of Money in real-world financial scenarios. By the end of this course, participants will be well-equipped to navigate the complex financial landscape with a strategic and informed approach to making their money work for them.

At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the educator indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.

  • I am an Assistant Professor Of Finance at Suffolk University in Boston, USA (Tenure Track), and an adjunct Professor of Finance at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez in Chile. I am also the Director of the Master in Business Analytics at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. My areas of expertise are Data Analytics, Financial Economics, Banking, Real Estate, Empirical Asset Pricing, and Industrial Organization. I have worked on several projects related to business analytics, macro-prudential regulation, antitrust, and several projects on modeling and predicting different variables using Machine Learning methods. I have led these projects in different industries in several countries of the world.
