"Lift Like a Pro: Strength Training" is a comprehensive course designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in strength training. This course covers a wide array of topics crucial for mastering the art of lifting, regardless of the participant's current level of expertise. Students will delve into foundational aspects such as the introduction to strength training, basic compound exercises, understanding reps and sets, proper form and technique, and creating personalized workout plans. As the course progresses, it delves into more advanced areas, including specialized techniques, various training methodologies such as powerlifting and bodybuilding, nutrition, injury prevention, and the mental aspects of training. Further exploration extends to biomechanics, advanced program design, specific sport-related training, and the future trends in strength training. Each 20-minute lecture aims to provide practical insights and theoretical knowledge essential for individuals aiming to enhance their strength training capabilities, whether as beginners seeking fundamental knowledge or advanced practitioners looking to refine their techniques and understanding.
At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.
Lift Like a Pro: Strength Training, by Nadeem Kasmani
Nadeem Kasmani is a physician and global health practitioner who is currently working as a Lecturer and Research Scholar at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).
Dr. Kasmani received his M.D. degree from the school of medicine at the National University of Science and Technology (formerly known as Oman Medical College). After working for two years at Rashid Hospital in UAE, Dr. Kasmani was selected to attend the master's program in Global Health Delivery at HMS. He specializes in both Qualitative and Quantitative research methods. Dr. Kasmani has worked as a global health researcher on various mental health and maternal & child health (MNCH) projects in Tanzania, Haiti, Iraq, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and the United States.
In December 2020, Dr. Kasmani co-founded Grassroots, a nonprofit dedicated to improving MNCH outcomes and developing Community Health Workforce in limited-resource populations worldwide.
