The "Bend Don't Break: Flexibility and Stretching Techniques" course is a comprehensive exploration of the principles and practices essential for enhancing flexibility. Spanning across multiple lectures, this course delves into the fundamental importance of flexibility, introducing various stretching types, warm-up methodologies, and exercises targeting major muscle groups. Students will explore advanced techniques such as PNF stretching, yoga asanas, and dynamic stretching, along with specialized topics like flexibility across age groups and specific populations. The course doesn’t merely focus on physical aspects; it also delves into the science behind flexibility, including its physiological and biomechanical foundations. Emphasizing injury prevention, rehabilitation, and mental health benefits, this course provides a holistic understanding of flexibility training. Additionally, it touches on future trends, ensuring students are well-versed in cutting-edge research and the evolving landscape of flexibility techniques.
At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.
Bend Don't Break: Flexibility and Stretching Techniques, by Nadeem Kasmani
Nadeem Kasmani is a physician and global health practitioner who is currently working as a Lecturer and Research Scholar at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).
Dr. Kasmani received his M.D. degree from the school of medicine at the National University of Science and Technology (formerly known as Oman Medical College). After working for two years at Rashid Hospital in UAE, Dr. Kasmani was selected to attend the master's program in Global Health Delivery at HMS. He specializes in both Qualitative and Quantitative research methods. Dr. Kasmani has worked as a global health researcher on various mental health and maternal & child health (MNCH) projects in Tanzania, Haiti, Iraq, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and the United States.
In December 2020, Dr. Kasmani co-founded Grassroots, a nonprofit dedicated to improving MNCH outcomes and developing Community Health Workforce in limited-resource populations worldwide.
