Welcome to Forethought India One-on-One Courses. Our program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen profession. Our instructor for this course is Lecturer Nadeem Kasmani from Harvard Medical School


The "Principles of Injury Prevention and First Aid" course is designed to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of essential techniques and strategies in injury prevention and first aid. Covering a wide range of topics, this course delves into introductory aspects such as the fundamentals of injury prevention, basic first aid procedures, and an understanding of common injuries. As the course progresses, it delves deeper into advanced first aid techniques, emergency response procedures like CPR, and specific interventions for different scenarios such as sports-related injuries, wound management, and fracture handling. It also encompasses critical areas like psychological first aid, first aid in extreme situations, and the legal and ethical considerations surrounding first aid practices. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge, practical application, and real-life case studies, participants will gain a robust skill set to effectively address and manage injuries and emergencies in various settings. This course aims to empower individuals with the confidence and know-how to respond promptly and efficiently in diverse injury and emergency situations.

At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.

Principles of Injury Prevention and First Aid, by Nadeem Kasmani

  • Nadeem Kasmani is a physician and global health practitioner who is currently working as a Lecturer and Research Scholar at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).

    Dr. Kasmani received his M.D. degree from the school of medicine at the National University of Science and Technology (formerly known as Oman Medical College). After working for two years at Rashid Hospital in UAE, Dr. Kasmani was selected to attend the master's program in Global Health Delivery at HMS. He specializes in both Qualitative and Quantitative research methods. Dr. Kasmani has worked as a global health researcher on various mental health and maternal & child health (MNCH) projects in Tanzania, Haiti, Iraq, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and the United States.

    In December 2020, Dr. Kasmani co-founded Grassroots, a nonprofit dedicated to improving MNCH outcomes and developing Community Health Workforce in limited-resource populations worldwide.
