The course, "Basics of Biomechanics in Physical Activity," offers a comprehensive exploration of the fundamental principles governing human movement. Spanning three levels, the curriculum delves into the mechanics underpinning physical activities, focusing on biomechanical analysis techniques, Newton's laws, kinematics, kinetics, and their applications in various settings. Students will explore joint mechanics, resistance training, cardiovascular exercise, gait analysis, and the biomechanics of running and sprinting. Additionally, the course covers specialized areas such as sports techniques, injury prevention, ergonomics, rehabilitation, advanced sports performance, and emerging fields like robotics and biomechanical engineering. Throughout the program, a focus on practical application and theoretical understanding equips learners with a solid foundation in biomechanics to comprehend human movement in diverse contexts, from sports to rehabilitation and beyond.
 

At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.

  • Nadeem Kasmani is a physician and global health practitioner who is currently working as a Lecturer and Research Scholar at the Department of Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).

    Dr. Kasmani received his M.D. degree from the school of medicine at the National University of Science and Technology (formerly known as Oman Medical College). After working for two years at Rashid Hospital in UAE, Dr. Kasmani was selected to attend the master's program in Global Health Delivery at HMS. He specializes in both Qualitative and Quantitative research methods. Dr. Kasmani has worked as a global health researcher on various mental health and maternal & child health (MNCH) projects in Tanzania, Haiti, Iraq, Bhutan, Ethiopia, and the United States.

    In December 2020, Dr. Kasmani co-founded Grassroots, a nonprofit dedicated to improving MNCH outcomes and developing Community Health Workforce in limited-resource populations worldwide.
