Welcome to Forethought India One-on-One Courses. Our program is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen profession. Our instructor for this course is Researcher Dr. Thomas McCoy at University of Cambridge
"Finding Balance: Navigating Chemical Equilibrium" This course delves into the principles of chemical equilibrium, covering topics such as equilibrium constants, Le Chatelier's Principle, calculation of equilibrium concentrations, and advanced applications in diverse fields. You will explore the dynamic nature of equilibrium, its impact on real-life scenarios, and even its connection to cutting-edge research in quantum mechanics and nanotechnology. Join us on this journey to master the fundamental concept of equilibrium and its myriad applications in the world of chemistry and beyond.
At the end of the program, students will receive a certificate & performance letter by the eductor indicating that they have completed the program and acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen profession.
Finding Balance: Chemical Equilibrium by Dr. Thomas McCoy at Cambridge
Dr. Thomas McCoy is a Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees under the supervision of Rico Tabor at Monash University, Australia, looking at the colloidal properties of 2D carbon nanomaterials. Currently, his research focuses on the understanding and optimisation of engine oil formulations and anti-fouling coatings using colloidal building blocks to assist in reducing energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions from transport industries. This work takes place in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at Cambridge, in the lab of Alex Routh. Tom's other research interests includes surfactants and self-assembly and using scattering techniques to elucidate structure-function relationships in colloidal and soft matter systems.
